Determinants of Affordability in Rental Housing in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria

This study assesses the determinants of affordability in rental housing Ogbomoso, Southwest, Nigeria. The location was borne out fact that city houses Ladoke Akintola University Technology which is a source employment. Ogbomoso North Local Government Area, domiciled home purposively selected for study. Random sampling used selecting two hundred and thirteen households. questionnaire observation formed basic instruments data collection were administered to respondents collect information on socioeconomic characteristics such as; house type condition as well rent. Both descriptive inferential statistical analyses employed presentation findings; correlation analysis test relationship between households’ income type. bulk N11,000 – N20,000 (35.2%) indicating they are low-income workers, while significant Brazilian rooming (40.2%). Correlation shows there (p=0.030) function household income. suggests among others that, residents should be factored into policies Nigeria determining needs people.
